How I became a Holistic Life Coach
In life, you can create big changes in several ways. Quite naturally, by letting yourself be, going along with the movement of things, making yourself one with the circumstances of life. Connecting the dots of your life and build your edifice. The second one? By seizing the unexpected opportunity of a hidden dream.
The beginnings: an international desire
I completed my three years of studies in Montreal roughly ten years ago. My three years overseas were an incredible human experience, and all good things come to an end. I chose to move to Paris to get closer to my family again and started my career as an intern in a digital agency in the heart of the Marais. Yet, three years later, I still had a substantial international connection and the visceral need for a new adventure.
As I had participated in a student exchange program in Frankfurt a few years before, so I decided to relocate to Germany with no real horizon. To start over. In search of my real motivations and desires. Speaking no word of German, the transition was puzzling. I started getting a few mini-jobs and funny enough I got my greatest life lesson from those experiences. My debut in Frankfurt was made as a “paper girl”.
As trivial as it may sound, this is when I understood that if I could walk 20km per day carrying a 20kg bag full of leaflets at -10°Celsius degrees in a forgotten village of Hessen, I could do anything. From this moment, I lost the fear of losing a job. Like a cat, I could get back on my feet no matter what.
I didn't care about status, I didn't care about what people would think, I was independent, I found my way to work, I felt free.
Then, after learning a bit of german, I worked as a barista until I got the phone call that would take me back to my first loves.
Back to my first loves
From then on I started working in marketing again, on the brand side this time. I was hired for a company producing natural cosmetics and care products. I worked my way up to become a Brand Manager and brought the project to Berlin, to expand the product line and grow. Afterward, I followed my mentor on another innovative anti-aging cosmetics project for over a year until my next change of course.
Change of life direction
It was after a tragic event, the loss of one of my dearest loved ones, that I decided to change my career. The pain led me to take another perspective on life, wanting to find meaning in my ambitions, wanting to understand what I was going through, and for that, I laid the ground for a more spiritual path.
Since I had arrived in Berlin, I had become drawn to yoga and meditation, and other oriental practices. So I quite naturally got interested in Reiki, a Japanese healing method involving energy work. I could see more clearly, retrace my stages of life and apprehend my deepest desires.
Despite the hardships, I have always been keen to help, support, make people laugh, and create joy. The encounters, my love of psychology, oriental philosophy, and mindfulness practices accompanied me all along, and I aspired to share all of this, by adding the professional dimension.
In 2019, after diligent research to find complete training including neurosciences, positive psychology, stress management. I resumed my studies: an online Holistic Life Coach diploma, based in Australia.
“Feel the fear and do it anyway”
I decided to take the leap and follow my passion, and through this process and any other moment in life, I understood the importance and value of being surrounded, by friends, collaborators, partners, to co-create, inspire and support each other.
Thanks to the mind-body and soul tools I learned, lived, experienced I navigated the pandemic waters pandemic without too much turmoil nor losing sight of my trajectory and my ultimate goal: to help people manage their stress better and live more, go the extra mile for themselves, gain perspective, and find a healthy balance between fulfilling their needs and “shoulds”.
I wish you to find what drives you, what lightens up your inner-fire, what makes you wake up in the morning, for when you get this feeling, you are unstoppable.
Much love,
